Casa Vostra Singapore Review: One of the Best Homemade Italian Pasta Everyone Needs to Try

13 May 2026

Winding queues, an inviting red shopfront, and homemade Italian pasta – that’s my first impression of Casa Vostra.

Credits: Casa Vostra

As a pasta fanatic, I’m always hunting for restaurants with great, scioglievole (melt-in-the-mouth) kind of pasta. Casa Vostra had been on my radar for a while, and I finally got to experience it firsthand during a farewell lunch for a colleague.

Spoiler: it did not disappoint! Indeed, great food with great company!

Casa Vostra

Casa Vostra is a beloved Italian trattoria known for its handmade pasta and wood-fired pizzas. The queues outside speak for themselves, and this is indeed the kind of restaurant that beckons people in again and again.

What I had

Pesto Orecchiette – Pesto Pasta that lingered

I went for the pesto orecchiette, and I can say with confidence it’s one of the best pesto pastas I’ve ever had. What set it apart was how light and fresh it was even after several bites, and there’s no heaviness (jelak) that made me satiated during the first few bites. The pesto was delicious, herbaceous, and coated every little ear-shaped pasta perfectly.

Quattro Formaggi Pizza – Four Cheeses of Pure Joy

We also shared the Newpolitan© Quattro Formaggi pizza with the signature char, and it might have raised my expectations for pizza entirely. The blend of four cheeses was rich without being overwhelming, and the base had just the right amount of chew. Whether it’s been a while since you’ve had a truly great pizza or you’re a regular pizza critic, this one is so scioglievole that it will satisfy all palates.

I washed everything down with an iced latte, which was smooth and well-made; exactly what I needed for a warm afternoon and to round off a satisfying Italian meal.

The Verdict

Casa Vostra delivers on every front: quality ingredients, pasta made with from scratch and with care, affordable prices, and a comfortable and welcoming ambience. I’ll be back.
