Handmade Soap Gifts in Singapore: Meet bloomin’ soaps, My New Passion Project

14 October 2026

Starting a little passion project, handmade soap gifts, has taken me back to the tough yet fun days of my polytechnic years. Before I walk down memory lane, you may have noticed a new addition to the sidebar on my blog homepage.

How bloomin’ soaps Began

It all started with a gifting idea. My former colleague, Mira, encouraged me to take it further, and that nudge became bloomin’ soaps. They make lovely (bulk) presents for weddings, festive seasons, and birthdays. After all, who can say no to something handmade? Thanks, Mira, for always being so supportive!

About bloomin’ soaps

bloomin’ soaps are small-batch, handmade soaps made with organic botanical oils and suited for sensitive skin. Each bar weighs around 40g ~ 120g, depending on the type, and comes in lavender or rose scent. Bulk orders start from 10 bars, with a lead time of 3 days. Delivery is available across Singapore.

Skin care note: Please take note of how your skin feels after using, and stop use if irritation occurs.

So far, sales have been slow. The platform I chose is popular, but its fees are steep, which hasn’t helped. Fingers crossed it picks up! Either way, designing, curating, and making something to call my own has been a joy.

Gifting Ideas Before bloomin’ soaps

Gifting ideas have been on my mind for a long time. In my third year of polytechnic, I chose entrepreneurship as my specialisation, and our group of four had to start a real, registered business. I already had plenty of gifting business ideas bouncing around, but one teammate suggested wood-focused products, and thus, Woodpeckers was born.

Funnily enough, our webpage is still alive, even though I doubt any of us has access to it now. I regret that we drifted apart, but I hope everyone is doing well on their chosen paths.
